We are invited to a costume party Saturday. So tonight we dug the old Halloween costumes out of the closet. Addie chose to dress up as a bee. Despite my warnings of the possible heat index Saturday, Daniel chose to dress up in his polar fleece bat costume. And they both insisted I wear the spider hat. We started with a nice costume parade through the house; Daniel flapped, Addie buzzed and I was instructed to twirl my webs around. The parade quickly became a chase, and then it turned into an episode of wild kingdom...
The bee was captured in the hungry spider's web, where the spider tickled the bee relentlessly with all 8 of her legs. Then the bat swooped in to rescue the bee and eat the spider.
The bee joined in the spider attack with body slams and steamrollers until the spider surrendered with a peace offering of popsicles.
