Last week we had a visit with our super sweet Parents As Teachers educator, Miss De. During Addie's screening, which amounts to a whole lot of motor skill and cognitive testing disguised as play, Miss De asked, "Addie, what is your last name?" Addie paused for a moment and confidently answered, "Princess."
I told Steve this story tonight while we were all splitting a candy bar for dessert. He explained to Addie that her first name is Addie, her middle name is Joy and her last name is Hahn. And we all went around announcing our first, middle and last names in turn. It seems like she's got it now. As Daniel raced to gobble up his candy Steve told him to slow down and enjoy his candy. To which Addie replied, "I AddieJoy my candy."
